"Pope Francis condemned trickle-down economics and the world of inequality and exclusion it fosters in the first apostolic exhortation of his papacy:
Capitalism, of course, has lifted standards of living across the globe. But in an unequal system, the more affluent can exploit low-income workers without sharing in the profit. The first quarter of 2013 saw American workers increasing their productivity, but their wages fell 3.8 percent, the largest hourly pay drop in the 65 years of keeping that statistic. Meanwhile, CEO salaries reached record highs of $9.7 million in 2012."
********** FIRST OF ALL, I find it disgusting that the left tries to remove the word GOD from their charter, and then tries to use the pope as a poster child for reelection.ITS SIIICKKK!!!!
SECOND OF ALL...mr POPE....JESUS..you know the guy who created the papacy, the guy who installed the first pope said "give to cesear that which is cesears, and give to GOD that which is GODS..when asked about taxes and money.
So.... It would seem the Pope has no place mentioning reagan, or economics at all.
BESIDES...MR POPE...over and over in both testaments GOD makes it very clear, its bad to have what you need, its bad to be rich by any standards. JESUS preached "leave all you have behind and follow me". GOD says over and over, when bad times come...rejoice. But this pope is saying all should have more wealth...is he the antichrist? WTF?
So here we are, after maybe 10,000 years of known culture, and NOTHING has lifted the common man up like our financial system. Is it perfect...no. Is it good....no. Is it the best thing going...HELL YES! Does the pope have a viable alternative....no. The POPE from what I read(which is unfair since jb filters it) is condoning communism. Communism is a failed experiment. More people have suffered under communism than anything else. Besides, in guadaloupe 100 years ago MARY appeared to three children and thru them warned the world of communism, and how it must be stopped. The POPE sees this as a lagit shrine.
So I'm confused? Here we have a nutcase liberal, citing the POPE that republican economics is bad, we need to change to communism or socialism, as if the world hasn't tried many times before.
My advice to the pope is forget about American economics, or ipods, or whatever, and concentrate on the war in SYRIA, the danger to ISREAL, aids, countries that are athiests, countries that dont have freedom of religion, tribal murder in ruwanda, etc...
Now im ok with him commenting on us worshipping money, thats one of his duties, to guide the rest of us spiritually, just not financially.
this is ridiculous.
