Call for papers for the Anipla 2006 Conference (Rome, Italy)

Dear Colleagues,

In the occasion of the 50th anniversary of its foundation, Anipla (the Italian Association for Automation) plans to organize a special international event in the lively automation world. In particular, the

2006 International Conference will focus not only on the numerous new ICT technologies for automation, but also on how the results of the technical developments should be mastered by the control engineer through the in-depth knowledge of the most suitable methodologies. To attain the Conference scope we are requesting contributions discussing methodological approaches and innovative applications in the following macro areas:

a) advanced process control; b) measurement for automation and sensor networks; c) intelligent and collaborative manufacturing systems; d) mechatronics and robotics; e) dependability and security of control systems; f) functional safety and safety-related systems; g) domotics and building automation; h) education in control.

Important deadlines: April 15, 2006: Special session/workshops proposals; May 15, 2006: Paper submission; July 15, 2006: paper acceptance notification; Sept. 30, 2006: final paper in camera ready format.
