One can't have better results if just using a PID controller and testing
under the same conditions (IAE criterion).

On page 3 the disturbances don't disturb at all. Did you forget to
implement them?
So what IAE coefficients did you use? The values shown in the PDF are
for ITAE and they are close but not right.
BTW, I am still waiting for the definition of best for the thread you
started on 23 Nov. IAE? ITAE? SSE?
