Web Portal for sci.engr.control

Is there a web portal for sci.engr.control, other than Google Groups?
I'm thinking of something like dsprelated.com that makes comp.dsp look
like a web forum.

I keep getting these questions via email that I'd be happy to answer on
public media (because if I'm demonstrating competence in public it's
marketing), but which I'm less inclined to answer privately.

Thanks.

Peter, when you suggest that I just use a web forum for control, can you
suggest one that is aimed at folks who are implementing their
controllers as parts of embedded systems?  "Buy this box, program it
this way" is an absurdly small proportion of my business.

Thanks again.

Do you need to implement control loops in software?
"Applied Control Theory for Embedded Systems" gives you just what it says.

You can try Gabe's new site.  Perhaps he can set up a category that is
aimed more at your type of applications.   You can also start your own
forum.  That is what we did.

That is why we have our own forum
forum.deltamotion.com
because 'Buy this box , program it this way'  is a big part of our
business and we can be flagrantly pushing our products there. I don't
really feel the need to do 'marketing' on other forums although I do a
little tech support on other forums when asked. Most people that run
forums frown on people advertising on their forum so it is good to
have your own where you can show off. The other reason is that you can
update your pages ( fix your mistakes ).

You already have a website.  Adding a PHP BBS should be easy.

Thanks Peter -- that's good advise.

(I don't know if I'll take it, but that doesn't keep it from being good
advise).

Re: Web Portal for sci.engr.control

At least keep the important content on your site so your future
efforts improve the content instead of recreating it.  I have our
website.  I have an IT person that keeps it updated although I provide
a lot of the content.  I also have my ftp site which exist just so I
can respond quickly and not have to wait for the IT guy.  I can update
the content when ever I see the need. I don't recreate it.

You should know by know that most people don't search so you will
always get the same questions over and over again.  It is best if you
can just point to content that you used before.
