This is not a typical conference. The objectives of RS Summit 2005 are:

  1. To bring together residual stress technology users and developers

  1. To present practical technology, not specialized academic research
  2. To have industrialists talk on what the residual stress problems are, rather than just researchers talking on their research.

The format of the meeting is designed to meet these objectives. A coherent sequence of topics has been chosen focusing on practical needs and applications. Experts in these fields have been invited to speak and to share their knowledge and experience. To keep the focus of the meeting, all talks are by invitation only. There will also be demonstration sessions where residual stress related equipment and materials will be displayed. In addition, RS Summit participants are invited to give voluntary poster presentations.

We hope to see you there. Mike Prime
