Just acquired a cut off band saw and need some info. First can I weld band saw blades with a mig welder? Second, What type blade works best for mild steel? Blade 115" long x 1" wide.

Just acquired a cut off band saw and need some info. First can I weld band saw blades with a mig welder? Second, What type blade works best for mild steel? Blade 115" long x 1" wide.
It's tricky but I've managed to do it with my Millermatic 135.
I find brazing to be a lot easier.
