responce to finding the minor diameter of a thread

the words look like this: x z k d f where x is the major diameter,z is the length of the thread,K is the depth of the thread, D is the depth of your first pass, F is the pitch Example: a 2 3/4 -12 3a thread would be 1/12= .0833 .0833 x.64952=.05413 .05413x2=.10825 2 3/4 or 2.75-.10825=2.6417 your minor diameter is 2.6417
