how do I convert a loco from zero one back to DC analogue please. I am an inexpe

I have just purchased a Hornby class 08 shunter which Breen fitted with Zero One decoder and it will not run on my analogue layout. How do I convert it back to its original wiring please?

Cut off the black wire as close to where it is fitted (at the motor or chassis) as possible. You might be able to just unplug it.

Cut off the red and green wires and solder them together. That's it.

Obviously you may be able to avoid re-using the original red, green and black wires, in the interest of tidiness but you need to achieve the same connections. You may even be able to re-connect everything without solder if the original wiring plugs were used for the Zero One installation..

It probably will not have been run for years so may need a bit of "fettling".
