Narrow guage on OO

I'm think of adding a small narrow guage line to my layout, similar to the Blaenau Ffestiniog station where former BR meets the Ffestiniog Railway. (Yes, in God's Country - Wales)

Can anyone advise if there is any RTR options ? I was thinking N Guage track might 'fit', but I'm not sure if I can get 4mm stock that runs on N guage track, without having to "re-engineer" the stock.

(BTW, I'm still rediscovering this hobby, and apologise if I offend anyone if I get the scales wrong)

I think you're after OO9, that is, 4mm scale stock running on 9mm gauge track. If so, there is very little (if any) RTR Britsh outline stock. Most is kit built. I don't model OO9 myself, so I don't know the various kit manufacturers or suppliers, but I'm sure there are others on this newsgroup who could advise.

009 is the name for what you are after.

No real r-t-r, but a chap called Paul Windle did/does make a selection of locos that are r-t-r, but be prepared to wait. Roco do make a r-t-r industrial diesel loco which is really 3.5mm HOe scale, but it will pass for 009. Peco do a range of track which is okayish. Try the 009 Society website for a few more links.

Paul's a good mate of mine - his waiting list for his range of scratch-built (but very competitively priced) OOn9 locos is around 4-5 months.

I have can put you in contact with his if you contact me through the 53A Models website.

If you are modelling a preserved narrow gauge line, you could get away with using some european HOe stock. The new Roco 0-6-0 loco is very nice.Add some coaches and you're away.Just look at the Welshpool and Llanfair Light Railway as an example.

If Wales is Gods Country, tell God to get off his arse and fix the pitch at the Millennium Stadium. Its a bloody disgrace.

This is totally off topic but I felt I had to respond to sure an idiot

Do I take it that you are English and don't like it up you. The pitch was laid by a company from YORKSHIRE which I think is in ENGLAND Is it Sour Grapes? or What?. I don't think the pitch had anything to do with the result, England were just not good enough on the day. Everytime England loss they blame the pitch. Football - David Beckham and now Rugby - Matthew Tait!!!

The best side won - period!

Absolutely, but cultured thereafter by the ground staff at the Millenium Stadium.

Who designed the Millenium Stadium?? A consortium of various groups (Lobb Architects, W S Atkins, Laing Construction).

What did they get wrong?? The need for sunlight on grass to help it grow.

What nationality were the designers?? Er, English, I believe! ;-)

Well, that explains it - presumably they're not very familiar with sunlight.
