Mon 10th. Whilst gazing awestruck at the huge waves crashing over the Wall at Dawlish ( wondering wistfully how one could model it), it occurred to me that there must be some record for the number of waves that have done that very thing since the nice Mr Brunel had the railway laid there.
I did feel sorry for the BBC reporters desperately trying to talk up a storm that non of my skippers would have given two consecutive thoughts to!
They may have cancelled flights and ferries but the two car DMU Penzance "express" from god knows where plugged on carrying it's already numb bummed passengers through the spectacular but free display of awesome weather so rare and unexpected in that part of sunny Devon.
