Can you weld austenitic and duplex stainless steel sheet up to 2mm with MIG?

Hello,

Is it possible weld austenitic and duplex stainless steel sheet up to 2mm thickness with MIG?

What should you concern to create a proper weld?

thickness with MIG?

Stainless warps more than other steels, so you really have to think about how you fit your piece together. Also, many jobs have to have shielding gas flowed on both the front side (where you weld) and also the back side. This can apply for tubing too. Some people call this "backpurging".

There's a whole lot of theory about welding stainless. That's all I'm going to mention right now.
