Lincoln SA-200 - How to dismount engine from generator end?

Can anybody clue me in as to how the generator is mated to the rear of the crankshaft?

I have a manual for the Continental F162 engine but no documentation for the welder.

Thanks,

Vernon

If I remember right they have a coupling that you have to push in, and turn backwards? And no bolts between the two. My memory might be faulty on that but I'm thinking that's how.

Thanks.

That is a useful tidbit.

I have a spare "basket case" F162 engine. Last week I took it to a machine shop and asked 'em to inspect and mike everything. If I can afford it I'll have that engine rebuilt and put it on the '56 welder. Then I'll rebuild that engine and refurbish the '50 model. Since the trailer for the '50 model is rusty and has no suspension I'd like to doll that machine up and put it on my old red Dodge truck.

Then I can go around and pretend I'm a welder. Nobody will be the wiser.

'Til they see me weld. ;o(
