Sharp point flame?

From time to time I get a very sharp pointed neutral flame rather than a rounded point. I've tried to add acytelene, but that just adds a feather.

It doesn't melt metal very well.

Anyone know what causes this? - Mike

First clean your tip. If that does not do it you can gently file off the end square with a fine toothed file and try again. If the orifice is misshapen there is not much you can do. On larger tips you do get a rounded shape compared to small tips. Randy.
