I used to weld a lot of Muntz using Silicon Bronze filler rod. TIG welded it using DCEP, using either pure or 2% thoriated tungsten, sharpened to a point. The key to a good weld is to watch the weld puddle, and adding filler rod at the correct time. If you wait a second too long, the puddle falls away. With a little practice, you can make very nice welds that are imperceptible after grinding.
