The SE 5A did not get the attention after the war that it deserved. It was one of the fastest if not the fastest WW I fighter. Due to its speed it was not as maneuverable as many other fighters. Disliked by many pilots it nevertheless gained many kills when pilots learned to use its speed instead of its maneuverability.
At least thats what I read, and it worked that way with a computer game I once had, "Curse you Red Baron". It would work well against Fokker Triplanes if you kept you distance, fire and turn away before the Triplane turned in on you.
