Without looking into the site I suspect you've found Dan Wingrove. In a similar vein you should check out anything built by Bill Geary. 1:25 scale model cars with working convertible tops and wind up windows............

Yes, he's pretty impressive, too. I couldn't find a lot about him, but I see that he's another modeling genius. :o)
