OT: Question of American vernacular usage?

Can any of you pure bred Merkins confirm that 'Bush' is in fact a slang term for the female Pubic regions?

Well, yeah it is. But - ironically enough - "Merkin" is, too...

No, Merkin is a pubic wig, as opposed to a Public Wag.

You know, if I didn't like a group of people as much as you obviously don't like us, I wouldn't have anything to do with them. You aren't a citizen of this country, therefore can not vote in our elections, yet you still insist on sticking your nose where it's not wanted on a news group that has nothing whatsoever to do with anything political. You also are obviously a liberal socialist and live in a country that is an economic and health care mess. (You have free health care, if you don't die waiting for treatment, and how about those tax rates?) By law, you can't be part of the solution to our problems, yet you insist on being part of the problem. Ideally, you would like to see this county as screwed up as yours. I really wish you would just butt out of our business and confine you comments to RC airplanes. Bill AMERICAN AND DAMN PROUD OF IT!

Yeah, there's also brush, beaver, and pie.

By all appearances, the cream of the British gene pool was lost in WW2 and the Battle of Britain in particular. In the time since, they've turned out only the stereotypical caricature of a pallid-faced, funny talking pooftah. The other fossil nations of Europe have fared little better. Look at France. Har. They don't like it that their sun has set on the world stage, and all they can do is yip-yap at the Big Dog on the block.

" 'Merkin" and damn proud if it.

Bush: bush noun (plural bush·es)

  1. woody branched plant: a woody plant that is smaller than a tree and has many branches growing up from the lower part of the main stem
  2. thicket: a thick clump of bushes
  3. uncultivated and unsettled land: wild, uncultivated, and sparsely populated areas of land covered with natural vegetation, especially in Africa and Australia living in the bush
  4. dense mass: a dense large mass of something, especially hair or beard a great bush of black hair

Please pay especially close attention to #4. As a generalization, most of us "Mericans" like our women's "Bush" bushy. Yet, interestingly enough, we intensely dislike bushy armpits or legs. (Unlike certain uncouth, uncivilized cretins, who's nationality I won't bother to mention.)

We also appreciate our women with relatively straight and clean teeth, not a snaggle-toothed rotted mess were even bacteria fear to tread...but that's another subject entirely.

Wow, that is some ridiculous comment from someone whose country has just invaded Iraq and Afganistan, slaughted thousand in Vietnam etc etc etc

Come off it Bill - Americans have little to be proud of these days - and remember the rest of the world is laughing at you guys

I think we might have to rename this group to something like "rec.models.rc.full_of_air" if all this political stuff keeps on coming

Yeah. They're laughing so hard they stand in lines for weeks at consulates to get an immigration visa. They risk life and limb to enter the US illegally. Finally, they become big stars and leave Oz and live in Hollywierd.

Oh, yes. You blokes killed your share of folks in Viet Nam, Afghanistan and Iraq.

Yep.

We can always be proud that we're not asstralian.

Like anyone cares what an asstralian thinks.

The British just put farmers in prison for having the temerity to protect themselves and property.

The British also have the highest rate of "hot burglaries" - the kind where the resident is there when the burgle is committed...... because the crooks KNOW the the residents CANNOT LEGALLY have a gun.

Hey Trip, judging by the exchange that's just gone by, we could have some fun here. :)

Liberal Socialist... you say that almost like it's an insult...

I couldn't ask more from my local health service even if I paid for it... Great Doctor, new Hospital just down the road, and an appointment when I needed it.

Talking about screwed up... To take one example...Which country has the largest gun crime figures? I don't think it's Britain that's screwed up... only your view of it...

From papamac:

Notice the blinkin' limey pooftah who started the thread hasn't replied back. The term "wuss" is derived from that same part of the female anatomy he(?) invokes as an insipid attempt to insult president Bush.
