Call for Papers
2nd European Conference on Mobile Robots September 7-10, 2005 - Ancona, Italy- Important Dates: April 18, 2005 Submission of papers (Paper submission is open!) May 30, 2005 Notification of acceptance June 30, 2005 Submission of camera-ready papers and early registration
- Keynote speech "Distributed Multi-robot Exploration and Mapping" by Dieter Fox, Department of Computer Science & Engineering, University of Washington, USA.
- Paper submission Authors are invited to submit original contributions in English not exceeding 6 pages of the 2-column conference format available at the conference web site. Papers should be submitted as a PS or PDF file using the upload form already active at
- Paper publication All papers will be reviewed by at least two members of the Programme Committee. Accepted papers will be published in the conference Proceedings, available upon arrival at the meeting, and a selected number of them will be expanded and revised for possible inclusion in a special issue on an international journal.
- Conference fee Conference fee is 350 euro when paid on or before June 30, 2005 and 400 euro after. It includes admission to the conference, conference proceedings, coffee breaks, lunches, dinners and participation to the social event (excursion and banquet). If a paper is accepted, at least one of the authors is required to register for the conference on or before the early registration deadline. Students (to be proved by an official university letter) and co-authors may apply for reduced fees.
- Accomodation Detailed information about how and where lodging in Ancona and hotels with special discounts given to the participants of the ECMR will be soon made available in the conference web pages.
- Conference Site Ancona is a quiet and nice city with interesting historic parts and natural beauties. It is the main town of the Marche Region, which is located in the centre of Italy and it is famous for the transparency of the sea, the green of the hills and the blue of the mountains. Flat, wide and sandy beaches are in the North of Ancona, while high, small and stony beaches in the South. Ancona is an important commercial port of the Adriatic Sea and it is connected by direct flights with Rome, Milan, Munich, Paris, London, Barcelona, Copenhagen, Moscow.
