FS Rocketvision Solar Venture

Well, I put the bird up for auction on RMR. The reserve is $30.00 It's a great rocket and I still have the original shipping box. It came with a note of thanks from Matt but I lost that a long time ago. I've also got a sheet of Grymm water slide decals. Any one care to make me an offer? I can be had cheap

Ok, so that's why you haven't been up here helping me paint my house. Sorry, I mean tee pee. : )

Outside or inside? We (read: the wife) are/is going through the paint chips for inside. Dining room, hallway, living room and master bedroom. And after that...crown molding. I just lost my 30 minutes per day to build rockets. I still need to attack the mold on the outside (too hot for now) and of course we have the paint for the porch and garage floor. Another project that's on hold.

I did like you asked. But mister, that's no porch, it's a Ferrari :-)

Outside. We never do anything at the right time. The right time here is very early spring or late fall, NOT the exact middle of summer. It's been real and it's been fun but it hasn't been real fun.

I just do as I'm told, it's not like I wear the pants, but that's ok, she looks pretty good in them. ; )

I can't complain too much, she does enjoy the hobby and never complains that I have so many built, in boxes or spread all over the house on display, or under construction. We now have a room she has dedicated as the Saturn V room with 3 on display, and 4 still wrapped in plastic. She thinks I'm trying to corner the market.

It's worse here in the southern part...or heat indices have been running in the 100 to 105 degree range for the last week. Walk outside and start sweating.

I know who's boss in my family, too. And since she goes to all the launches with me and helps the club with setup and take-down and is a great construction assistant...I'm not complaining at all. :-)

Since you brought it up...I have a "new" Saturn V. My nephew found a first re-release of the Estes Saturn V in a drug store. this is the 2001 version that uses the paper wraps and balsa fins. Still in the shrink wrap. Should I or shouldn't I? :-)

Agreed. Back when I was a roofing contractor I did several shopping centers in Dothan & Enterprise. The heat in July can be brutal.

I love finding stuff like that in out of the way places. Takes me back to when I was a kid. You could find almost anything at Rexall.

Personally, I like the 2001 kit much better because of the fin assembly. I don't like the vaccu-formed parts of the 2157.

No, you should swap it with me for the 2157 kit. ; )

I keep buying the 2157 kit because I keep finding them for under $50.00.

LOL. I already have two 2157 kits in my "to build" pile and one under construction. I just can't see having another. I might build this one with the three-engine cluster...I still have the three C mount from my first Saturn V, all I need to do is roll my on BT-63. Or a five engine cluster version that "someone" brought to our launch and we were very impressed with.

:-)
