I don't see your name on that list Jerry!

I possibly should have taken it more seriously to get listed. They waive the $35000 fee if you get 10,000 signatures and I got some 300 just for NPRM968 and SB724!

55% of registered voters were democrats. This is a SOUND DEFEAT for democratic policies in a DEMOCRATIC state.

Arnie has the ticket: Socially liberal Fiscally conservative

Good thing he is not eligible to be president and save us nationally :)

It's so bizarre that "The Terminator" is going to be our governor. It's like living in a movie.

Someone described the thing as a contest between "a governor who became unpopular acting like a robot, and an actor who became popular playing one."

Don't know quite what your problem is, Ray, as Arnold has consistently demonstrated that he has what it takes to be an effective leader (though I don't agree with him on a lot of things).

A quick example - during Davis' "concession" speech last night, his supporters started booing when Shwarzenegger was mentioned, and Davis started laughing and encouraging it. During Shwarzenegger's victory speech, ONE of his supporters started saying something negative about Davis when his name was mentioned, and Arnold IMMEDIATELY put a stop to it, and stated that wasn't how he runs things.

Who do you think is a better leader?

It's also astonishing that Davis had the nerve to discuss Shwarzenegger's "groping" of women, while surrounding himself with the likes of Jesse Jackson and Bill Clinton. I guess they were there to give Davis pointers on how Arnold might have groped.

Yeah well we(MN citizens) had to endure 4 years of a self proclaimed 'Navy Seal' for our governor.

Believe me Ray, Arnold has wayyyyyy more brains and less 'all about me' attitude to actually pull off this governor thing off than our former gov.

Only in California can Michael Jackson get more votes than Bob Dole.

Oh, I'm sure Ahnuld will be a big improvement over Davis. Nor does the fact that he's an actor make any difference to me -- the folks who think only lawyers should be politicians make me sick. But it's still going to feel weird seeing Ahnuld in a prominent non-acting role. Just like when former actor Fred Thompson was a Senator -- everytime they showed him in some hearing or whatever on the news, it felt like a movie. :)

Yeah. I'm really getting sick of the "we can't beat 'em legitimately so let's attack them personally" attitude so prevalent in politics (on both sides) these days.

Yeah, that had to to hurt.

I agree. And although I'm opposed to many of his positions on the issues, I do feel he can _handle_ the job at least as well as any politician, and a lot better than most.

Gee Ray, your hero Kelley in TRA and his buddies Blazanin, Rogers and Maness all use the same techniques, and you routinely defend them.

Did you suddenly develop either a conscience or some sense?
