Yah . . . what happened, Devin? I hope it's not divorce. Are things just that bad in your area? I know a POP display company in Atlanta that uses SolidWorks. Not in a nice area of Atlanta, though (as if there were any nice areas there -- I can speak having lived most of my life there). It's MasteRack (Leggett & Platt company) and they do use SolidWorks.

There's also a POP display manufacturer somewhere here in the Charlotte area that uses SolidWorks, but I've never been able to figure out who it is. They always seem to post positions through one of the less desirable contract agencies.

Yeah, I know a little about San Diego housing costs. Can't blame you. Geez -- imagine that . . . half a mil for an average house. That's incredible.

Couldn't he just get ahold of the SolidWorks VAR in Charlotte, and talk his way into finding a POP display mfgr who uses SolidWorks, "So I can order something from them where they can take my SolidWorks files." or something similar.

Yep. Time to go. I stuck it out in San Jose for two years and had enough. I didn't like the formula: make twice as much and live hald as good.

Now I'm back in Milwaukee, living on half as much in my own home.

BTW-- POP="Point of purchase"? There's lots of that around here. Mostly offshoots from the paper industry. I'm at a loss for any names at the moment, though.

The VAR will get ahold of him -- already in the works. Says that he knows of 4 or 5 POP manufacturers in the area that use SolidWorks.
