Ciruit breaker sizing?

I recently bought a ChangFa 22hp single cyl diesel engine and a ST-10Kw head for a powering my shop power hungry tools and as a backup generator project during power outages, here in Florida.

From the ST-10 manual, it states I can wire it either in series or parallel, in Series, it would provide 230V@43.5 Amps and in Parallel it would provide 115V@87 Amps.

I am going to be wiring this in Series, since I have a few tools that require 230v, My question is, Does each leg of the 230v branch carry 43.5 Amps each? Would a 50 Amp circuit be the proper size for this application?

Jeff (Spring Hill, Florida)

Yes each leg produces up to 43.5 amps at 230 volts in this configuration.

Yes a 50 would be the proper choice.
