I am implementing the coupled code for soil mechanics. In my equation, I have the couling matrix like C=dN_i/dx.I.N_j. In this case, dN_i/dx is 8*4 matrix and I is [1 1 1 0] meaning 4*1 matrix and N_j is 1*4 matrix, so C=8*4. I dont how to assemble this submatrix to global matrix with the stiffness matrix which is 8*8. Anyone can help me. Many txs,
