I know why isolation xmfr is used now

When wiring up some of the low wattage 115 volt circuits in the control cabinet I decided to use an xmfr to lower the voltage and isolate it. There is one motor that draws about 7 amps so it was wired to one leg of the 220 and neutral. Otherwise all 115 volt circuits are drawn from the isolation xmfr. Just a few minutes ago I stupidly grabbed a bare115 volt wire. Not paying close attention I thought it was the 12 volt wires that I was grabbing. When disconnected the spindle brake valve opened. Then I realized that I had held onto 115 volts. And I had both wires in hand at different times. Certainly, if the machine was wired without that isolation xmfr I would have been shocked. I'm gonna see about changing that air valve to a 12 or 24 volt circuit. Be careful, I wasn't, Eric R Snow, Who's safety measures saved himself some trouble.
