Glider Contest - Oct 9, 10 near Reading PA

We are just 2 weeks away from two great TD contests. There are 35 pilots already registered. It is not too late to get into the game.

Reading ESL TD - two one day contests

10/09 - 10/10, 2010

Location: Reading, PA Sanctions: AMA and ESL

Event: Thermal Duration Man-on-Man ESL winches will be used.

Task times to be announced before each round. Landing Task- graduated spot 25 and 50 point.

Awards: Expert and Sportsman awards to 3rd Place daily. Awards for best two-day performance. Award for best Novice.

Novice pilots fly FREE!

Schedule: Check-in Time 8:00 a.m. Pilots meeting 8:45 a.m. First Flight 9:00 a.m.

We have 38 pilots registered and a beautiful weather forecast. Not too late to get in on the fun.

If you are new to contest flying, register as Novice. Novice pilot fly FREE.

If you don't have winch experience, no problem! We will launch your plane for you. We have launched Radians, Easy Gliders, Gentle Ladies, Spirits, Bird of Time, and all sorts of "non-contest" planes. I started my ESL experience on a Sagitta 600 and a 2M Spirit. I had a great time!

If you feel confident, but perhaps not up to the top pilots, then register as Sportsman. I fly sportsman. If you know your way around a TD contest, great. And if this is new, no problem. We will help you. Just ask for me. I will be happy to help you.

And if you are a thermal meister, register as expert and fly with the best of the best.
