or shall i say, some fun in the shop ! i had a project that required some pressed sheet metal. that is, scroll elements pressed into 16 gauge steel. i formed the scrolls from 3/32 inch welding rod . masking tape held them to the sheet metal in the desired pattern, then i sandwiched the project between hard (steel) and soft (lead) sheets and using the forging press, 30 tons did the job. have fun , mark
