Hi. I was wondering if anyone can offer some advice. A friend of mine has aquired a VW camper van and is currently in the process of wiring the interior for 230 volt mains hookup when on a campsite, primarily for use in the UK. I understand that it is the site owners responsibility to provide a safe power supply along with a protective earth. I believe that where the input connector is fitted to the side of the van, The earth terminal should also be strapped to the vehicle bodywork so that when connected on site, the vehicle body is at the same potential as the surrounding earth. Similar to equipotential bonding within a building. Could anyone please confirm that this is the case? Many thanks for your help.
