Whether you can get a good deal is a smaller issue. The big issue is the workplace, whether you are supporting communism or democracy with your money. If possible, I would rather pay a small amount more and get a product made in a democracy. It's like voting with your money instead of just voting for the same Republican/Democrat as usual. The money you send to China isn't going to the workers, it's going to the rulers. Is it a result of globalism or just poor leadership? How come democracies can't bond together and promote democracy by trading among ourselves? There is no competition, we easily win as we always have. Freedom is good, but our current leaders are giving us the freedom to impoverish our own workers. Whenever you have a choice, please buy products made in a democracy or close as possible to a democracy.
