I presume it is corrosion what you are seeing, which is often caused by "non optimized" molding conditions (high melt temperature, long hold-up times, cylinder hold-ups etc.) and insufficient tool venting. Before you got corrosion you ought to have seen a white solid mold…
Read the full replyI am working in the tooling maintenance dept. ( plastic Moulding ). some defect of the tooling i can't explain. Can members help me to explain how could this happen ? thanks in advance. Erosion was found on the flash line of the matching inserts.The mould was to produce nomal POM gear for about 5 years.
