A searchable directory of robotics companies, jobs and events

When this build is working, it pulls the whole robotics job and events scene into one place. The site, called RoboticsConnected, tracks more than 500 robotics companies, lists over 11,000 open roles, and keeps an eye on industry events, news and email digest subscriptions as well. It grew out of a real gap: after a year of job hunting where interesting robotics roles kept slipping past, plus news of expos always arriving too late, the maker started it as a personal tool and then decided it might help other people too.

The way it is put together stands out. Everything was assembled over the summer as a growing side project. The Jobs tab offers both a grid view and an interactive Mapbox map of company locations across Europe and the United Kingdom, with sidebar filters such as Robotics companies and the Robot Learning and AI specialization. In the demo, that filter combination narrowed the listings down to 549 roles. Company profiles list open positions, and a job can be marked as applied. There is also an Events tab with a monthly calendar grid view, covering October 2026 in the demo, plus a subscribe modal that syncs with Google Calendar, Apple Calendar, Outlook Live and Outlook Office.

The personalized dashboard pulls together curated jobs, shortlists, nearby events and news headlines, and a newsletter module called Your Monday in your inbox takes email sign-ups behind a Cloudflare security verification widget.

The maker is upfront about one gap: the listing leans toward companies that are easy to find online, especially in the US and UK, and many smaller teams, university spin-offs and firms elsewhere were likely missed. Whether there is enough data for a visa sponsorship filter also remains unconfirmed.

This looks genuinely useful. I am curious how the maker collected all the company profiles in the first place. With more than 500 entries that is a big crawl of information, and I would love to hear whether that was mostly manual digging or something more automated.

The mark a job as applied feature is a clever touch in my view. A directory full of roles could easily turn into a sprawl of open browser tabs, so keeping application tracking next to the listings keeps everything in one loop. The trade-off is that it probably works best only if you use this site rather than other boards, but as a hub for one field it seems a smart call.

An improvement worth trying: big automation trade shows publish exhibitor lists with thousands of names, often broken down by filterable booth categories. Scraping several of those could pull in plenty of the smaller firms and university spin-offs that a web search approach tends to overlook, and it would soften that easy-to-find bias the maker already flagged.

The maker has partly answered that. Many of the listed companies came from advertising a job, according to the maker, but the full method behind building the whole listing has not been described, so there may be more to it than that.
