Body tube information BT-3XW

The

website has many tubes documented there, however one not on the list is the Estes BT-3XW. After scouring the net I was unable to find the information, therefore causing me to write fliskits an email to see if they would have any available. However, I received a reply back asking for dimensions.

I replied to the fliskits email, and also sent a request to both Johns listed email address on that particular URL I posted above.

This tube was used in at least the Dragon Ship 7 kit. After measuring one that I had I came up with these dimensions:

Length = 1.5" O.D. = 0.375" I.D. = 0.325" Wall thickness = 0.025"

Thought I would post in the rmr newsgroup as well for others that may have been searching for the information,

I notice that they do not list the (limited) production of Canaroc body tubes. Here are the specs from teh 1979 Canaroc catalouge. (While Canaroc is belly-up some of the kit plans are still available on the net. so if anyone wants to re-creat any of these classics here are the tube info. I'm currently working on a Black Brant IV from the Canaroc plans using Estes tubes. Looking good for now.

PT-100; O.D. = 19.10mm I.D. = 18.00mm Length = 457mm

PT-200 O.D. = 25.00mm I.D. = 24.10mm Length = 457mm

PT-400 O.D. = 41.90mm I.D. = 40.90mm Length = 559mm

The first use of BT-3 was the escape tower on the 1/70 Saturn IB / LJII kits.
