lines disappearing in drawing view? sw2006sp5

An extrusion has a face mated coincident to another larger face. Some of the lines where the two components meet are not showing up in an isometric drawing view (HLR). This has been a problem to varying degrees on past releases. If I click HLV and then HLR, they reappear.

I'm using an FX-1400 with 6.7.2.0 driver, which I think is what's recommended on the swx site, but there are many newer drivers.

What is the authority on which driver is the best?

Thanks, Bill

I spoke too soon on the reappearance of the lines. They reappear but the next time you click anywhere in the view to make it active, the mouse I guess is doing automatic relations or whatever, and moving the mouse over any of the view entities makes the same lines disappear again.

Rule number one in drawings is to adjust the resolution on the lines in TOOLS/OPTIONS. This frequently will make the invisible visible.

Have you done an interference check? Sometimes interference in an assembly will cause random line disappearance in a drawing.

I have an SPR on rotated scaled section views losing their lines.

We all experience this from time to time. In my case it frequently goes away after shutting down SW and restarting. But even this isn't always the case. I can lose lines in drawings and in sketches.

An odd thing I found out later was that the problem was occuring only on two views that I had created that were custom angle isometrics. If I switched the view to one of the standard views (dimetric or whatever), the lines reappear. That's why I was thinking it was a video issue. I've seen this problem off and on for years, but this was the most pronounced example. Bill

Can you make two configurations, one where the faces are coincident for real life and one where they are slightly separated for the drawing? That might get rid of the problem.
