SUMMARY We currently have a full time opening for a Senior Mechanical Engineer in o ur Vista, California headquarters.
The ideal candidate will be a mechanical engineer with experience designing and testing plastic parts and assemblies. This engineer will work as a ke y member within an engineering team to develop and improve global products (pumps, filters, automatic pool cleaners) for the swimming pool industry.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES ? To be a key project leader in the development of new technologies and products. ? Design plastic parts and assemblies using SolidWorks CAD software . ? Analyze part designs using sound engineering principles, FEA soft ware and prototypes. ? Participate in product development programs. ? Work with suppliers to ensure project goals are met and to resolv e any engineering issues that arise. ? Oversee activities of testing personnel and designers to meet pro ject goals. ? Develop and document test plans and Engineering Changes.
EDUCATION, SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE ? Bachelor?s Degree or higher in Mechanical Engineering. ? 7+ years of mechanical engineering experience focusing on new pro duct development of plastic consumer products. ? Very highly proficient mechanical design skills using SolidWorks CAD software. ? Extensive knowledge of various types of plastics and their use in product designs. ? Strong knowledge of plastics injection molding and tooling. ? Ability to work independently, as a team leader and as a team mem ber. ? Good verbal and written communication skills. ? Proven track record of accomplished projects with increasing resp onsibilities.
