Its a fascinating subject, in my work have been modifying an application to display japanese messages. Now these are wide characters so all functions and files have to cater for them and use unicode versions of system functions. If you dont you either get rubbish or ????'s. ????'s often means font not available. Do ask if you want more detail. Simon
