For dial up users, that file is a Quick time movie, 1700kb in size. Took me a few minutes to download. Worth a look. Boy I sure miss my cable :)

I dunno... It is a neat idea in concept but kind of defeats the whole point of hangliding, dont you think? If I was going to fly an ultra light, I would stick to a much quieter prop engine. Maybe I just dont get it...

But Dan, you just know that there are half dozen guys on this board trying to figure out how to put a radio in the thing:)

Well, putting a radio in it would be a whole different thing! Hell, I would like to see that! I just wouldnt want to be IN it with this turbine screaming full blast behind me.

That's really neat to see a turbine on a bicycle and a hang glider. When we were kids, we used to get the big wheels off of shopping carts and make carts similar to the old soap-box derby racers. I can imagine one with a model turbine engine on it.

As long as the motor is on the back or the bicycle.
At 10 years old I "borrowed" my dad's O&R .23 control line engine. (He was out of town). Mounted it on the handlebars of my Schwinn, complete with 9X6 prop, fired it up and rode to school.....wearing a white shirt.
Needless to say, the fuel in the old days had a lot of Castor oil in it.
