Modelling and rendering a wine glass using only AutoCAD 2008 (just for fun)

When modelling something like a wine glass, is there a trick to making the rim look more convincing when rendered?
At the moment, though the base and shaft of mine look very convincing,
the rim looks like someone's painted it with a felt tip pen

Does you model's rim have a slight "bulb" shape to it? I'm just guessing that might help.
