The HPC-Europa Consortium is happy to announce that the Transnational Access Programme will continue up to the end of 2012.
This is an EC-funded programme of short (six weeks on average) collaborative research visits with access to Europe's biggest supercomputers. European researchers are invited to apply to one of the associated European HPC Centres: BSC (Spain), CINECA (Italy), HLRS (Germany), SARA (The Netherlands), GENCI (France), CSC (Finland).
Main features of the programme:
- Minimal paperwork and bureaucracy - Access to the best high performance computing systems in Europe - Technical support and consultancy - Scientific collaboration with a host researcher - Travel and living expenses - Logistical and administrative support - Open to researchers of postgraduate level and up, in all disciplines - Open to scientists working in all EU and Associated States
The new HPC-Europa2 programme includes some important additions:
- Two new centres which researchers can visit under HPC-Europa2: CSC in Finland and GENCI in France; - Five new countries are now eligible to participate in the programme (particularly of interest to potential hosts wishing to invite people to work with them through HPC-Europa): Albania, Croatia, FYR Macedonia, Montenegro and Serbia. - Much more computing time available per user than under previous contracts.
The deadline for applications is 15 May 2009, for visits starting from July 2009. For more information and online application form please visit: /
