i don't know whether this is right.
currently, fem software use coupled structural stress and thermal stress to retain stresses and displacement by the same stiffness matrix. that means the computer program shows only the structural stress and thermal stress independently.
my proposal is to show the true stress which combines structural stress and thermal stress at the same time.
i presume structural stress can superimpose with thermal stress by the same mesh. so u can just add the result together?
