Does CNC hold the bit sturdy enough?

Apr 18, 2020 0 Replies

When using a rotary tool in a hole, the hole should be a lot larger than the rotary tool bit. Otherwise it will grab.

If using a CNC bit to slice thick aluminum, does the same problem occur? Does the bit grab onto the sides of the cut? Or is that not a problem.

My guess is it's not a problem. I seem to recall cutting through some aluminum with a carbide rotary tool bit, without much trouble when moving straight through the material

Thanks.
