internal motor wireing question

the motor spins but not as it should, and trips the breaker. there are 6 wires in question. T11 T10 T12

T6 T5 T4 the panel shows these 6 wires are connected together horizontaly and vertically.

right now they are in 2 groups T11, T10 ,T12. and T6 , T5, T12.

are they correct or not. this motor is on a phase convertor thank you walter

Not quite enough informantion. Is this a three phase motor? Or a single phase motor that starts the three phase motor of the phase converter? If it is a three phase motor, you should have three groups, two of which connect to the single phase power.

this is the single phase motor in the converter unit. there are 12 wires , but i am not sure about these six walter

Sure its not a two speed or a motor with a set of reverse windings? Some single phase motors such.

Twelve wires for a single phase motor. Hmmmm. Is this a two voltage, two speed motor? It would help if you used a ohmmeter ( or battery and light bulb ) and found which wire connects to which wire. ie does T5 connect to T 11 ? T6 to T12? T4 to T10? And what are the other wires and how are they connected?

there is not much info left on the plate ,so i cant give any more info. actually all i wanted to find out is if the plate shows 2 rows of (3 ) T numbers all joined together with lines both horiz/vertical , does this mean that the 6 wires get tied together.

the way it is now i have 2 groups of 3 wires tied together
