Ridgid pipe vise chain

Ridgid wants over $100 for a replacement chain for their BC-610 pipevise. Is there a vendor known to sell Ridgid replacement parts at agood price, or is there a 3rd party vendor out there?Thank you,Dave

Dave, Check with one of the bearing suppliers (Motion Industries, Applied Industrial Tech etc.) and see if the extended pin chain from one of their suppliers would work. Haven't had a catalog in years but looking on the Diamond Chain site

) they show a double extended pin each link with an E2 suffix. If it will work you may have to buy a standard 10 ft. box but still may be cheaper. Good luck.

Crazy ass thought. If the chain is pinned to the tool on one end, and free on the other end, to fit into the "channel-and-hook" receiver, couldn't you just buy a short length of the equivalent standard roller chain, and put the new segment between the original and the tool. That way, you would still have the extended chain pins on the free end.

Just a thought.

Does that chain happen to be the same size as used on the pipe grabbing vice-grips?
