source for solid state inverter?

I have a phase converter. I have run these machines for a long time. Now I want to sell them and I am looking to do a 3phase single phase conversion to make them easier to sell.

I know how to make phase converters, both static and rotary.

so, now I at least am confused. If you know how to make a static converter why are you looking for a VFD? There is nothing you can buy commercially that will cost you less than the $10 or $20 that it costs to make a small static converter - one capacitor, one relay - and if you really want to be cheap, one capacitor and one momentary switch. I just don't understand the question any more.
