Tube Feet

Can anyone suggest a retail supplier of plastic or rubber caps suitable for use as feet on 1-1/2 inch OD tubing? Crutch feet seem to go up to only

1-1/4 inch diameter. Application is a sturdy old tubular steel frame ironing board whose original rubber feet have worn out. The tubular feet are horizontal to the floor (i.e., crutch tips wouldn't be ideal anyway since the bulge lies outside the ends of the tubing).

A Google search on the Web and Newsgroups finds only manufacturers and wholesalers with huge minimum order quantities.

Thanks, David Merrill

I used plastic pipe caps. Had to bore out slightly to fit. Bob

Try McMaster Carr. Go to

and search for "vinyl caps".

It won't cap the ends, but you will have rubber on the floor supporting the legs. If you really need the ends closed, you could drive in wooden or plastic plugs.
