No this is a parallel work being done by the factory and a guy in the Philippines on the KX3 version, We are working on the smaller KX1 but they share common technology. The electronics have been developed here with Chinese drives and a US breakout board that has been specially developed for the K series.

One thing I have spotted on this review is the fact they have put their electronics in the cabinet, something I don't agree with for two reasons. One is in a semi commercial use those cabinets are not designed to be coolant proof and in the UK there are more bench machine sales than stand based sales so where do you electronics go ?

It's not all the world but something that needs to be addressed.

Sieg have built a new factory especially for the production of the KX1, KX3 and the KC6 CNC lathe and it's on line to have these machines here in the UK early next year with a support network in place.

This is the crux of the matter, at the moment Syil is shipping converted SX3 machines here, the US and Australia but their support is next to none, you only have to read the Syil forum on CNC Zone to appreciate this and because they make a great show of saying they are Sieg machines many people think Sieg and Syil are the same when in fact they are not.

I must admit I noticed that too, but it just didn't register. I (would guess) that AET will eventually be bringing all sizes over, but perhaps with the seperate control cabinet as per your prototypes?

Anyone want to guess at reasonable starting prices, maybe £2.5K?
