Asimo robot

On my flight back from Christmas, I saw a little snippet about this Robot called Asimo by Honda. If you meet it once, it will always recognize you because it takes a series of pictures of your face, then stores them in its database. It's so simple, yet really innovative. I'm impressed.

p.s. Asimo/Asimov - coincidence?

Too mundane by far to be a coincidence. Now if they had called it "As a colour of purple grey" or " I click as I move", that would've been a coincidence.

As a Color of Purple Grey is coincidentally what I just named my new cat.

I've seen that Asimo robot. I remember being impressed at the time. Too bad its battery pack only lasts thirty minutes. That's not too good. There's always innovations out there that I could never come up with but when I read about them I think, I should have thought of that. I read that the roomba robot vacuum listens for dirt as it's vacuuming. More particles hitting the machine causes it to stay in one place longer. Once the noise slows down indicates that the robot should move on. Pretty neat.
