Hi All,

Members of the Mendocino high school science club have built the first (as far as we know) small hydrogen fuel cell powered robot. You can check it out at:

Awesome job done, congratulations from Bosnia :)!

Nice! At 10W you don't have much power for motors accelerating. How will you address this?

Thanks

Sjur

Sjur,

Mostly by being slow ;-)

Actually, the servos start up and are at max speed very quickly. We are looking into larger wheels, it looks like we have the torque to handle it. Currently, we travel about 30 feet a minute. We are also looking for different motors. Eventually, the robot will be a Mars probe simulator, so speed isn't all that important to us.
