Interesting commercial robot (912)

These little robots are based off x86 architecture and run XP. Kinda of limited, but since it runs an OS you can write software for, it might be an interesting platform to expand on. Ideas for expansion might include adding a manipulator arm, sensors, etc.

They *look* OK, but I would have put Linux on them. Since they are not out yet I went with my own base. What I *really* want is to get ahold of a dead SGI Onyx, because the case looks like it would make a *really* neat robot body.

I've got an old NeXT Cube that I've been thinking about gutting and using the black magnesium cube case for the body of my rover. I haven't quite had the heart to do it yet, though. The NeXT cubes were great ... in their day.
