Event: PACTS/FRANKLIN INSTITUTE ROBOT EXPO When: October 20,21,2006 Where: Franklin Institute Science Museum 20th & Benjamin Franklin Parkway Philadelphia, PA
The Franklin Institute & The Philadelphia Robotics Alliance will hold it's first annual robotics challenge & expo, October 20-21, 2006. Invited are all amateur robot builders to display and / or compete in robotic competitions. Have a unique or different type of robot you would like to demonstrate, let us know. Is that robot you built over the summer getting lonely and collecting dust, then enter it in one of our commpetitions to get some exercise. Awards or trophies for winners of the following contest will be issued:
- Robot Line Following Contest open to robots less than 5 lbs.
- MiniSumo 500g (1.1lbs)
- Japanese RobotSumo 3kg (6.6lbs)
- Lego / Vex Sumo 500g / 1k (1.1lbs / 2.2lbs)

Note- any contest that does not register at least six contestants may result in the cancellation of that contest. Four contestants in the case of Japanese Robot Sumo
