Has anyone had any problems ( or glowing successes ! ) using wheelchairmotors on a bot ?Seems like a natural choice -- high torque & I don't care about speed thatmuch.I am looking at a couple of brand new motors from a Merits Wheelchair.

I agree.The book _Build Your Own All-Terrain Robot_ talks about these.The major problem is that you need a high current H-Bridge.--D. Jay Newman

I bought a prototype from them. I thought that the REX motors had the same encoders. I don't know.

Well, soon I will be deep into the motors and deep into ... scaring the cat, most likely ! :-)
