They may leave the pad together, but not stay that way very long...

Right. A C11 would make it sort of a "lackluster Machbuster"...

I did a 4-motor 13mm cluster I call Cheap Thrills. I clustered 4 BT-20's (9" each) and glued the first 3" of the assembly into a BT-55. The BT-55 distorts a little, but still accepts the assembly.

Flies great on 4 A3-6 motors.

BT-5 tubes fit 13mm motors, not BT-20.

Why, I even have 3 foot lengths up for auction.

FWIW, the 4x13mm cluster should fit fine in a BT-56. JIC anybody wants to do this without the distortion Bill mentions. I've been thinking about one of these, but can't seem to get a round tuit :)

The Vaughn Brothers Lil Wild Thing used six 13mm motors clustered around one

18mm motor IIRC. I built one and flew it a couple of times. Very exciting but damned expensive.

A NIA member built a BT-70 roket with a cluster of 8 13mm motors. He flies it on A10-3Ts and calls it a "D-80". It's a real cool model.

12 BT5's just fit a BT70. I had a rocket I called the '12 Pack' until I shredded it on 3 D40's.
